Experience in S5 – S7 Siemens PLC Programming for use in automated systems  

Knowledge of Electrical / Electronic controlled systems, automatic / semi-automatic equipment

Robotic experience is essential

Ensure machine / equipment availability, accuracy and performance to enable continuous production

Execute, maintain and revise Electrical Maintenance schedules for equipment to ensure extended equipment life and optimum plant availability

Access breakdowns and develop alternative solutions to prevent re-occurrence

Assist Electricians and Fitters in fault finding

Analyze PLC Programs for the purpose of fault finding and modifications on machines and equipment

Be able to upgrade existing systems and equipment to latest technology levels to improve productivity

Be able to program Robots and fault find on Robotic integrated systems

Co-ordinating and actioning the recruitment, selection, appointment and integration of suitable candidates into the organization & Administering compensation and wages

Preparing for and representing the Organization in various conflict resolution applications

Have a Degree / Diploma in HR or Personnel Management

Have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience with at least 2 years at senior staff level within the disciplines of Personnel, Training and Development and Industrial Relations within a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of QMS in terms of ISO TS16949, VDA 6.3, etc.

Knowledge and experience on Development, Implementation and Auditing of above system and suppliers.

Proven experience in a supervisory capacity.

Automotive Industry experience preferably in the area of a 1^st tier supplier to OEM’s.

Sound knowledge of MS Access and Excel is a requirement.

Supervise and monitor the activities of the sub-ordinates under his control to ensure the achievement of targets and schedules, including I.R. issues.

Ensure the effective functioning of the documentation control system, CPAR and receiving inspection function.

Ensure effective laboratory and safety critical testing is conducted.

Ensure that internal process audits are conducted as scheduled.

Ensure that internal QMS Audits are conducted as scheduled and participate in internal audits.

Host external audits.

Verify that key shop floor procedures are available and up to date.

Hold and attend daily / weekly Feedback Meetings with other team members and production departments.

Compile and issue a weekly/monthly report to the Quality Team Leader covering pre-established indicators.

Participate in other job activities and functions as reasonably requested in line with the Quality Departments versatility charting and multi-skilling program.

Assist with the documenting of PPAP/ISIR’s/PSW’s etc. and assist with the development of new parts for OEM’s.

Stand in for the Quality Team Leader as and when required.

Assist in training shop floor and management personnel in regard to system requirements and customer specifics.

Experience in product development in the automotive industry.

Computer literate (Solidworks / AutoCAD / CATIA, MS Office, MS Project).

Knowledge of PPAP and APQP processes.

Familiar with quality systems (e.g. ISO 9001, VDA6).

Compilation of spec sheets.

Design, procure and industrialise tooling for new products.

Monitor sample manufacturing

Skill such as PHP & Javascript advantageous.

Experience is not essential, if you have an aptitude for web development, programming, search engine optimization etc. Salary is negotiable based on skills, potential & talent. Starting from R5000.00 pm
